Kantha is a language of devotion stitched across time.

Originating in West Bengal, kantha quilts were created by women who layered old saris and joined them with thousands of tiny running stitches. These stitches carried prayers for protection, warmth, and prosperity.

At Mud Lotus, many of our jackets, blankets, scarves, and bags are crafted from vintage kantha, stitched decades ago by women whose artistry and love are still alive in every thread.
